Subject: Proposed funding cuts to our school 

Body: You may have heard on the news that Gov. Tom Wolf has proposed drastic funding cuts to Pennsylvania’s charter schools to redirect funding to school districts. These proposed changes could result in the closure of many of Pennsylvania’s charter schools. 

On average, Pennsylvania school districts already keep 25% of the taxes allocated to educate every student who attends a charter school. This has allowed the school districts to profit and be compensated for the students they have lost to charter schools. 

Whatever the reason you chose to enroll your child in this school, we thank you and we hope to continue to provide your child with the best resources and opportunity to succeed. 

Your children are not just a revenue source in the school district’s budget. We will fight these attempts to shut down charter schools, and we ask that you fight with us.
